I was waitlisted from UChicago (RD) and am wondering what else I should include in my letter of continued interest - so far I plan to express my continued interest and the fact that I would very very likely go if accepted (did not apply ED2 since I was waiting for senior year mid-year grades to come out) and send a few updates (I got an international writing award, created a big policy research project on AI usage in education for my state, and am waiting for National Merit Scholar results in a few days). My mom will also email them again, as she went to UChicago for graduate school and an alumni admissions officer was in touch with us for that purpose. She and my counselor are urging me to send in an additional rec letter from my AP Euro teacher (I read the rec letter he wrote for me for a summer program; it is really something!) but I’m not sure if that would be too much at this point. Also, how long can I wait before sending the LOCI? There are some prestigious summer program results that come out in late March/early April that would be very strong additions to my update. Thank you!
