This is like a nightmare.

Hello friends! I still havent heard anything. Fuuuh you uci

So much for CCC transfers having priority. I don’t feel like it!
I literally woke up in the middle of the night last night a bunch of times checked admissions. >.>

Hedieh Taherabadi Elizabeth, I called uci admission on Friday and they told me we have lots of application tgis year. We can not finishe it by April 30
im waiting for my uci decision for a long time. I already get in ucsd.

Found this on FB

I’m guessing they don’t have as many people to go through apps due to budget cuts.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to be rejected even with TAG for UCI?
I have tag for uci for ChemE, but havn’t heard anything from them yet…

As long as you have followed your TAG provisions you should be fine.
Most people who lost their TAG was because they broke theirs.

I was rejected even though my TAG was accepted/ completed.

I’m guessing it was because one of my pre-reqs (Bio 94/94L) used to be called Bio 3 when I took it 4 or 5 years ago. So they probably thought I was missing a core pre-req. I’d talked to a UCI counselor in the fall, and she said that it wouldn’t be a problem… but obviously there was a problem somewhere.

I’ll talk to them on May 9th, and if this really is why I wasn’t accepted, I might try to appeal. I might just go to UCSD, though, since I was accepted there. I live in Irvine, though…

Yeah definitely talk to them. Admissions makes mistakes all the time with TAG students but just make sure you didn’t accidentally overlook a requirement… 60 units, GPA etc.

so, no one got anything

Nothinggg!!

Hopefully a bunch of decisions will come out tomorrow since it’s a week day. Best of luck to those still waiting!

When I called to find out why I was rejected, I was told I wouldn’t be able to talk to a counselor until after May 8th. Since they won’t let people talk to admissions counselors until “after the 8th,” maybe that means they’re planning on being busy with applications till then?

Even with TAG, you may still be denied for failure to complete all recommended major prerequisites (found on ASSIST).

I got in and SIR’d to UCI but I was denied UCSD with TAG, IGETC and 4.0 because of a math class and a physics class.

Waiting for an email.

2commander, the verbage of TAG agreements and what exactly is required is unfortunately kinda vague, though I’m downright shocked you were rejected from UCSD because of missing prereqs - if all else because I was under the impression that all UCSD cared about for TAG was completed IGETC.

Still, I had my UCSC TAG rejected because their engineering prereqs for my major stated that there were 14 prereqs, but only (I think) 5 needed to be completed to be considered. As it turned out, they wanted all 14. -_-

Annoying isn’t it?!

This just suckssss yallllllllll.

Srsly guys reading this thread is keeping me sane!!! I went to a WPA conference in LA this weekend and I was checking my status on my phone and on my laptop any chance I could and still NOTHING. I think its bull that its after the deadline and they didn’t even have the courtesy to mention anything about extending it.

I’ve seen a few people who were accepted with a slightly lower GPA than mine so I’m feeling okay. Specially because I’ve completed the recommended pre reqs, will be IGETC certified in 2 weeks (LOL), wrote pretty legit essays and have some sort of EC’s.

Effff this noice, maybe I shoulda tried going to Hogwarts or some crap. Srsly, feels like I coulda got into a fictional school over UCI at this rate!!!

It’s awful that so many of us are still waiting to hear back… Do you guys know where you wanna live if you get in?

Probably within 20 minutes of Campus, I’m used to commuting. Last year they sent out emails saying they’ll be late, what’s the deal!

I am probably going to live on campus because I don’t know anyone over there yet.
I live 7 hours away so commuting it out of the question. :P
