Uci acceptance

Oh hey, just to distract you all. Osama bin Laden is dead. Think UCI will celebrate and just let us all in?

Hahaha Melanie I just saw that on tv too…hopefully!

haha, osama is taking up every dam channel -.-

Osama is dead, I will drink in memory of my fallen brothers in celebration of this news.

Good luck to you guys for UCI.

Oh wow! Bin Ladin was killed?

Ohhhh, so… UCI admissions was out trying to kill Osama, that’s why they haven’t released our decisions yet! Well, now that that is done with…

HAHAHA @neverneverland… Thank goodness!

haha ! i went back to this thread just to tell everyone that osama is dead. now uci come tell us more great news!

@ Fern37: I live in Irvine, about 15-20 minutes away from UCI.

As others have said, commuting from Corona is doable, especially if you’re not driving during rush hour, but not all that pleasant.

And if anyone is worried about there not being anything to do in Irvine, well, the beach cities have more of a night life, and they’re very close to UCI. There are plenty of bars (and some clubs if that’s your thing) in Costa Mesa/ Newport within 15 minutes away. Huntington is more like 20-30. And LA isn’t much more than an hour away if you really want to party.

There are lots of check points in the beach cities, though, so taking a taxi with friends is always a good idea…

@ Fern37 I’ve lived in Orange County for about 9 years now … and I don’t think ‘Coronians’ would care too much about partying college kids LOL!! I’ve been to my fair share of Corona parties … that sounds funny.

Wow so something finally has replaced the Royal Wedding and taken over the news …

Do you think we’ll get a decision or an email about the delay first?

Yeah the beach cities have plenty of nightlife. I just get a little turbed when the idea of nothing to do comes up. So Cal is in the middle of every kind of activity anyone could want. An hour or two drive is nothing! Now an hour or two commute to school sucks but what are we going to college for? To get a career. I’m gonna commute as far as I have to so I can get it done. But I get it. If I had a choice I’d want to be close and have excitement close.

Heck! I was at Disneyland earlier when I posted! I was prob just cranky from the crowds lol

Haha the last three times I’ve been at Disneyland I’ve been anxiously checking my UCI status… that’s sad lol.

I wish I was at Disneyland…

Go to Disneyland once you’ve gotten your acceptance so you don’t ruin it for whoever is with you by constantly checking on your phone. ;)

I wish i would hear back from UCI…=(

Speaking of which, did anyone try calling them recently to see what’s up?

I posted something awhile back about someone calling em on Friday, they said they would most likely not make the deadline.

Nice of them to let us know! I’m guessing we’ll either get an email about the delay tomorrow or, if we’re lucky, a whole bunch of acceptances.
