@joam007 there have to be more decisions left. You can always try calling the admissions office and asking what’s up. This whole process has been so stressful and confusing.
If someone gets their acceptance today, PLEASE POST IT HERE, so we can know if acceptances are still released today
Decisions will 100% be out by the end of this week. I don’t think they’re being sorted by acceptance/waitlist/rejection, just coming out in batches

@musiclover5 but we’ve only seen one (maybe at that) rejection and no waitlists
@birdie0518 but we haven’t seen THAT many acceptances, especially for certain majors… I don’t think UCI is done releasing acceptances just yet
Still nothing for data science. I only think there’s more acceptances coming since I see a lot of data science, biological sciences, and political science majors with no decisions.
I just called the admissions office. He said rolling decisions are still being sent out this week until the 31st but when I asked specifically if “acceptances” are still going out or just waitlisted and denials left, he just kept saying that university statement right now can only say decisions are still coming out and can’t confirm what type. The way he was responding, it was clear that he’s told not to say any more than that but he knows something more.

I cannot understand the purpose of this brutal wait and see approach to releasing decisions. Who at UCI thinks this is a good idea??!! All it does is leave a terrible impression regardless of the decision received!
My D got accepted to CSE, received the email on Saturday morning.
This is so depressing, my D still thinks she’s getting in, because another student at her high school who got a D and a few C’s in junior year got accepted. My D is thinking, if they let her in, they have to let me in. I feel so bad for her and am trying to prepare her for WL/Reject.
There are many students in my D’s school still waiting for their decision. Most of them have stats equal or better than my D. I don’t think they sent out all acceptances yet. Wishing you all the best.
Guys, UCI offers admission to 36,000 incoming freshmen. There is NO way they are finished with acceptances.

@birdie0518 not sure where 36000 number coming from. Last year’s common dataset shows approximately 13000 thousand were admitted and less than 3000 enrolled: https://www.oir.uci.edu/files/campus/CDS2018_19.pdf
@kidded those numbers are for only men (13334) … looks like there were 13995 women admitted as well if I am reading that data set properly. (12522 more were waitlisted!)
My apologies the 36,000 was total, including graduate. But I still don’t think there have been 13,000 acceptances thus far.
