@DStepler thanks for the clarification - somehow I missed that part!

Anyone got anything for major unaffiliated/undeclared? (Alt physical science undeclared)

Have any drama majors gotten a decision yet? Still waiting myself…

I believe the 36,000 number is for incoming freshmen and transfers that were offered admission for 2018, according to uci news article.

I have twins. Same stats. One D got in to UCI on Friday (Biological science) waiting patiently for an answer for my other daughter! So frustrating!! Anyone here twins? or parents of twins? with the same or similar scenario?

I would be very frustrated if I were you @onebadfoot !

My S applied for CS, but he only got accepted as undeclared. What is a chance to get into CS major later on?

@mtheaterapply I’m still waiting for a decision as a drama major also

I am! It has been an interesting weekend. Hope to hear something soon!!!

@onebadfoot Is your other daughter’s major different?

anyone think there will be acceptances today

@onebadfoot Did they apply to the same major?

I have a friend who’s sons were not both accepted to their number one pick last year. I know it was very hard on the one who was not accepted initially. They both went their separate ways and you’ll never guess who is having an easier go at it and a better experience during the first year? Yep, the one who had to go with the second pick!

Fingers crossed your other daughter gets her acceptance very soon though!!!

@doesntmatterok yes actually. The other twin chose Psychology with a Bio Sci back up so who knows

UCI just gives me a feeling that they are not organized at all… They don’t know what to do first and it takes much longer time to finish all the review

Are they not releasing decisions at all today???

Last year people got their decisions at about 8pm on Monday , but were all waitlists.

@onebadfoot UCI is supposed to admit to the university first before major. So that seems very odd and counter-intuitive that only one would get in.

@Wazzu2012 They both applied to the same schools except for 2. They were both waitlisted at UCSD & UCSB. They were accepted to UCR and SDSU. We attended the SDSU open house this past weekend and both loved it. Big decisions for them once we hear one way or another from UCI.

@onebadfoot My son is thinking about SDSU as well! Mostly between there, Santa Clara and UC Davis. We live up in Washington though so any of them are a long way from home! But my husband and I both grew up in California - me in the Bay Area and my husband in San Diego. All of our family is still there too! He’s toured Santa Clara but has yet to see UC Davis (although my husband’s family lives in Vacaville so he has spent a lot of time in that area!) and SDSU - thinking we need to take a quick trip down!

He’s still waiting to hear from Berkeley but that was a reach school, for sure!
