@Mo11ymac are you sure? it’s just so odd that SO MANY poli sci majors haven’t heard. it’s possible they review and send out by major but don’t have a cap on how many can be admitted per major
Should I still have hope??? I have a 4.227 gpa and 1110 sat score for CSE. Should I just give up?
Btw I have been rejected from all the other UCs
@dodgers2001 your gpa looks good but your sat is quite low for UCI. hopefully with strong ECs and essays, you’ll get in

@sagh527 I have seen some acceptances for poli sci and I think the reason a lot of us haven’t heard is simply that there are a lot of poli sci majors so you’re just more likely to find a poli sci major that hasn’t heard than someone who applied for something less common. But applying for political science gives you the same chance as anyone in l&s to get in because all the majors in l&s can be switched out for each other, unlike majors that are hard to switch to like engineering
@QP7156 same here. Very frustrating. S applied for Game Design (1st) and CS (2nd). He was accepted, but for Undeclared. We are wondering if there is really any chance of getting in to either major if he goes in as Undeclared or if he would be forced to select a non-capped major that he’s not interested in. Hoping we can get an honest answer if we reach out to the school directly. Will also explore the TAG option from our local CC. Luckily he was accepted for these majors at other school, so he does have other options.
@Mo11ymac i’ve only seen one acceptance for poli sci on here. you could be right but i just find it so odd that they would be done with acceptances so quickly and then radio silence for 2 days

@mrklop I know of two people in my school who auditioned and got in early March for dance.

Okay guys so I applied to UCI as a biomedical engineering major and chose biological science as my alternate major. My UC weighted GPA is a 3.9 weighted and a 3.65 unweighted :(. My SAT score is a 1380 with a 700 math and 680 English score. I played basketball all four years of high school with some volunteer work and clubs. I wrote pretty creative essays. Do you think I have any shot at UCI? I was accepted to UCSC and Lewis and Clark College and rejected from UCSD and UCLA. If I haven’t heard back yet do you think that means I am rejected?
