@sagh527 I looked through last year’s thread and pretty much all the acceptances were Friday night and Saturday morning. Sure there were a few stragglers after that but I’m assuming those people were just late to check their portals. There is no guarantee that this year will be the same, it’s just not looking good for us
but saturday night, uci admissions posted on twitter pretty late saturday night, “as admissions are rolling out, … post your acceptance and tag #UCIYes” (not the exact wordings, but they said something similar to this) … ACCEPTANCES ARE STILL GOING OUT then
considering there was not many cs majors getting accepted, i think that they haven’t released decisions for certain majors
Rip I am a cs major and I didn’t hear back from them yet :(. None of CS majors at my school have heard back from them yet.
@Mo11ymac yeah and a lot of political science majors haven’t heard anything (me included)
I think I’ve seen a couple Cog Sci majors here, but not many. Public Health either…
I have yet to hear of a single Drama major getting in unless they received a scholarship in February
My daughter got in for drama on Saturday morning.
Looking at everyones acceptances, it seems like decisions are being released in no particular order mea ing there is a good mix from each major
those are my two preferred and secondaries and i haven’t heard anything yet either

Has anyone heard about English majors? I know one friend of mine who got accepted Saturday morning for English, but I was wondering how many have heard from their schools as well for the major.

I think some people are putting too much stock on major. There really seems to be no correlation between major and who has heard. And within the college of l&s they really don’t care how many people from each major they admit because l&s majors are not impacted so from what I heard they don’t even look at major then. Engineering, CS, and nursing are a different story, but with majors like English and poli sci it doesn’t matter

@Mo11ymac Alright, thanks! I knew they weren’t really impacted, but I haven’t been able to get any sort of confirmation on anything so I just wanted some kind of reassurance, ya know?
Wouldn’t waitlists technically be around Friday of this week? Based on how UCI started admissions on Monday and posted waitlists a week later. This year, it started on Friday, so shouldn’t we give UCI about a week for acceptances?
