I’ve decided to not even check the portal to see my decision after this process as it’s not even worth my time anymore. This was a really big turn off and regardless of my decision, I have zero interest in Irvine anymore. Best of luck to everyone else!
so, my portal says waistlisted for nursing, however there is no waitlist for the nursing program. my 2nd choice major was biology, and online it says that if denied from nursing, they will consider the 2nd major. why does it say waitlisted for nuring? help? should i call admissions office?
So what does that mean if we haven’t received a decision yet, its most likely a rejection?!

Son waitlisted for Computer Game Science. 3.96 GPA, 1330 SAT. Eagle Scout, good computer intership, great essays, NLSC course.
@Sri12345 if you follow the trend, then you will most likely be waitlisted or rejected. I’m not going to give you a definite answer because I am not an admissions officer. Just following the trend, which seems to be a correct assumption

@ohsnap1234: UCI will Waitlist you based on 1st choice major but if accepted off the waitlist, you can be sure it will be for your 2nd choice major or Undeclared.

@j678jgpo there are people who got rejected on friday for other majors, so i dont think that it is necessarily following the trend… plus yes, they might not be telling us when each decision is coming out… but so far, all the decisions have come in mixed…
Waitlisted Computer Engineering: 35 ACT, 800 SAT Math II and Chem, 12 APs (7 senior year), AP Scholar with Distinction, 3.9+ unweighted GPA (all A grades Spring Sophmore year till now on report card), 4.5+ weighted GPA, attended COSMOS at UCI in '17 (had a great time and really liked campus), good extra curriculars, white, middle-class non-first generation. Honestly I do not know what to think.

Some people at my school have received that email that were admitted Friday so…
