Here’s the email from UCI Merage School.

"On behalf of the faculty, staff and students of The Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine, welcome to our community! Over 4,400 freshman applications were received for 100 spaces. Your entering class promises to be truly exceptional. Our inaugural undergraduate class entered in Fall 2008, with the highest entering mean GPA on campus. The group that enrolled in Fall 2009 claimed both the highest entering mean GPA, and the highest mean composite SAT scores on campus. The Business Administration majors are impressive and include students with a wide array of academic, service, and athletic awards. One of the students is an internationally ranked figure skater. We also have students representing various UC Irvine teams, including baseball, tennis, soccer and water polo. The group is diverse, including students from South Korea, Vietnam, Italy, China, India, and Serbia. Many came in classified as sophomores given the exceptional number of Advanced Placement units earned in high school (45+).

To further demonstrate our commitment to our Merage School undergraduate students, we will also be providing:

MBA student mentors, with quarterly lunches hosted by the Merage School.
