Is it confirmed that they do admitted, then waitlist, then rejects?
@ZacDutra That was the pattern last year. The first 3-4 days was acceptances, then waitlists and rejections

We are still waiting a decision for my son. He has been rejected at Cal Poly SLO, waitlisted at UCSD, and accepted to UCR and U of AZ. He plans to major in Biomedical Engineering. Has anyone with this major been accepted yet?

@PescadoPaul Wow waitlisted at UCSD for Biomed E… may I ask what his stats were. I’ve applied for the same everywhere. Got into Davis. Straight rejected from LA and UCSD. I haven’t heard back from UCI either. I know for a fact that Davis engineering is better than UCI. But I had a summer programme at UCI and absolutely loved the university.

@kailaniiiiii I’m a US citizen. Was born in California. Moved to India in 6th grade. I attend an IB school in India but my parents have been living in California for 5 years. So I know I qualify for instate tuition…

My son’s UC GPA is 4.2. His SAT score is 1390 on the new test. Three summer engineering programs, four years of Biomedical Science, three years of Engineering, STEM High School, many AP courses.
If they’re not releasing today because it is Sunday, they better release it at Monday 12:00 am, I am so desperate to know if I got accepted (which I doubt will occur at this rate)
@greatnessheight Yes, my daughter got admitted as an Applied Physics major on Friday. Don’t lose hope, since there seem to be people being admitted at different times for the same major.
Is it possible they are releasing acceptances by school? No one from my school has heard anything yet
@sdcauc18 no, it’s pretty random rn. Some from my school got it, some didn’t.
@potato16 Yeah pretty sure it’s random. It’s how it’s always been for the past years so there are still going to be acceptances released. That’s why I’m telling myself anyways

CS applicant here… Accepted to UCM, UCR, UCSC Rejected to UCD, UCSD, Cal Poly SLO. still havent heard back from UCI so 99 percent sure im rejected
@prayforme13 yea, I think acceptances may go on till Tuesday/Wednesday and wait-lists and rejections after. Or maybe a few more acceptances. I just wished they could release all decisions at once.
I know a person who had stats of 3.7 UW and 4.0 UC GPA and 1860 on old SAT who got accepted to irvine. He didn’t get his first choice of CS though, only got undeclared which was his 2nd choice. He found out on Friday. I’m guessing UCI is pretty much done taking in CS majors if people are getting rejected from CS and getting their 2nd choice or going in undeclared?
