I just got waitlisted this evening. My preferred major was business admin and alternative was business econ. I won’t be taking my spot though because I received acceptance from UCSB

@rose528 wow you are so qualified I can’t imagine UCI rejecting or waitlisting you. Maybe it really is random and there’ll be more acceptances? My friend’s dream school is UCI and I really hope she gets in…
Just got waitlisted… I applied for undeclared engineering and was planning to switch into civil engingeering as soon I could. Also, I was waitlisted at UCSB a few hours ago and I applied for electrical engineering. This sucks. Does anyone know if there is a fee you eventually need to pay if you opt-in the waitlist?

My son found out today he was waitlisted at UCI for biological sciences.
So far waitlisted at cal poly, Davis, Irvine and SB. Accepted into Merced and Riverside. Good luck.

@annieareyouok I have a horrible feeling you’re right…my best friend is so qualified (unweighted 4.0 gpa, 1400 new sat) and she still hasn’t heard back from Business :(. it’s her top choice for personal and financial reasons and i would hate to see her crushed by a rejection
