I just got accepted to UCI! Rejected by UCB but it’s okay cause that’s the only school that rejected me out of the 6 UCs I applied for!
I was scared because of my lower GPA in math/science, but was admitted as a mechanical engineering major!
Also got into UCSD undeclared. Looks like I’ll be attending UCI or Cal Poly Pomona this fall.
Overall GPA: 3.45
Major GPA: probably around a 3.2 or so… (with 2 W’s)

I feel like a lot less people got into UCB than in previous year’s threads…

@jaxtransfer don’t think it means you’re rejected or waitlisted for sure. I tagged and have over a 3.4 GPA and still haven’t gotten anything

It’s kind of depressing having received rejections from two top institution, but I also was prepared for them so I’m not too worried. Still a little shocked, yet finally relieved I can set my eyes on where I will really be living for the next 2-3 years. Honestly, at a few points of waiting for decisions these past few months, I was hoping that I could just rejected so I can go down to SoCal and live my “dream.” Don’t get me wrong though, I still hold my ground when I say I would NOT reject an offer from UCB, or UCLA.
@Hanzawa That’s nuts man. You had over 3.8 gpa, IGETC done, and UCD, UCSB, UCSC don’t want you?! Hard to believe. If you don’t mind me asking, where you headed to bro? Your two acceptances are my top choices for CS, so I may see you around!
