UCI Fall 2015 Transfer Thread

To anyone who was accepted under tag would you mind telling me if there is any indication in your portal saying you are accepted with tag? I was on the line with a 3.39 GPA and I don’t know how to check if I got in through tag to know if I need to maintain a 3.4 by the end of this semester. Thanks!

Hopefully they will keep releasing decisions today

it seems like there are two threads for UCI 2015. I asked this last night in the other thread, but might as well check over here too. has anyone applying to humanities gotten a decision?

Still waiting for Econ here. I am praying they aren’t done with the acceptances yet.

I think there are still many ppls havent got their decision yet, keep hoping for the best guys

I dont know if they release over the weekend, we might not hear back until sometime between Mon-Wed of the coming week.

@greenbeanmilktea did u get accepted today?

Well shut my mouth, @greenbeanmilktea congratulations!

Congrats @greenbeanmilktea - Did you get the Acceptance this morning or did it come through yesterday? I’m just wondering if they are releasing decisions today as well. Tks

Is it possible UCI purposely put off notifying so they could accept/waitlist more applicants based on people submitting sirs for UCB and UCLA?

Anyone see any scholarship/grant info? Mine says that they will be released early May but I would like to know before May 1st because I have to choose by this week if I want to attend any CSU’s.

I just got my offer from csusf and it was awful compared to UCR’s aid package, correct me if i’m wrong but i think UC financial aid offer is almost always more generous in terms of grants than the csu system?

@jdsam23, i think it depends on the amount of tuition fee that UC and CSU cost, UC costs much more then they should give u more compare to CSU’s. Did u get the decision today as well? :-/

@mcrazy2000 I was accepted to SFSU and UCR in March, still waiting on UCI. You are right about the drastic cost difference, but my aid award at SFSU was nearly entirely gov loans, UCR has the ability to offer most students grants which almost entirely covers tuition and fees…for me it was a pretty easy decision- go to a better school for free or get stuck paying back 10k + in loans per semester at a csu. The financial aid attendent i spoke with at Highlander day also told me that in most cases, baring a drastic increase in your income and as long as you keep your grades between 2.5-3.0 and you turn in FAFSA on time you actually can get more grant money your second academic year.

i think the UCI decision is going to be next week, hopefully we can all get in. many applicants still have not heard anything from uci, so i guess there still be chances for us.

No tag, and still patiently waiting for a decision! Seems like all the decisions from yesterday were acceptances so hopefully there is still room for those of us who are waiting! Trying to be hopeful, but ready to expect the worst. If I’m not accepted to UCI, UCSB it will be. Goodluck guys!

@jdsam23 I got accepted into CSULB and I was only awarded loans. UCR gave me enough grant money to cover basically all of tuition.
