@alexa2287 Not yet. Still waiting like everyone
@ahccrunner @newton1666 that is fantastic news! ; I think this thread has been suffering severe anxiety since last Friday lol.

has anyone heard from UCI? im scared. all it says on the portal is that “your transfer application has been accepted” and that they will contact me soon with their admission decision
@mram13 wait you got accepted to ucla? wouldnt you rather go there?
and admissions said later this week they are sending out notices again
@seafoodude Id rather go to UCI, its closer to home and work. I don’t understand how Santa Cruz and Sb rejected me but ucla didnt. is it possible to appeal santa cruz decision if i applied for the wrong major by accident and the major isnt impacted at SC, and isnt offered at SDSU?. Are they mostly going to be rejections and has no one heard back from UCI yet?
@mram13 apparently, UCI is pretty far behind. There admissions pages notified everyone that later this week would be acceptance letters.
anyone science education major?
i applied for CSULB and UCI,
got admitted to CSULB, but still waiting for UCI.
CSULB’s admission decision is due 4/31, and this wait is killing me D:
UCI is my last chance for Aerospace Engineering, i hope i get in.
I called UCI and I talked to a woman there and I asked her when decisions are coming out and she said through the 30th, which is what everyone has been saying. Then she said they had already been sending out decisions and I told her I had only heard of Regents decisions going out and she got very flustered. I think that they are under a lot of pressure right now.
@amandamarieee According to the Facebook Uc irvine admissions page, they have not released the majority of transfer acceptance letters. I called admission’s office yesterday and got the same response, which was pretty disappointing. In addition to the Facebook page, it is relatively odd that no one on this thread has received acceptance letters. Hopefully and optimistically speaking, I believe acceptance letters will be distributed on friday and continue until the end of the month. good luck!
As each hour passes I get more and more anxious. Im gunna implode at this rate D; SOS
I asked someone in the admissions office and they said next week. Im hoping for the 24th.
It’s literally a week later than last year guys. I have gpa of 3.4 at the end of spring 2015 aplied to uci with tagwith major chemical engineering. Still scare i cant get in
@mcrazy2000 if you followed all the criteria for TAG, then you will get in. The anteater blog published an article related to transfer and freshman academic data. The article claims that the mean GPA was 3.3 for transfer. In my case, I applied for TAG and have a 3.93 but still don’t have an admissions letter. I am fairly confident that Friday is the magical day for a large portion of transfer students. While anxiety and worry is shared throughout this thre, you just have to be confident in your academic work and hope for the best.
@cbad132 well thanks for your reply, i hope we all can get in. The thing is, i have gpa 3.4 when i applied for tag, but then my gpa dropped to 3.32 after fall 2014. However, i am sure that i gonna get back to 3.4 at the end of spring 2015, a little confusing bout that too.
Can someone please chance me?! :-S
Major: sociology
Igetc: completed
Prerequisites: completed
Gpa: 3.12
Transferring from CCC as a junior.
Any input is greatly appreciated!
Is UCI’s Informatics division impacted or competitive (posted from another thread)?
@Mountie91 although your GPA is little below the average, you still have a chance to get. In fact, your major is going to play a big role in that decisions. If sociology is highly competitive, then you will need a decent GPA to compete. In short, you have a chance to make
@TallOne123 Call UCI and ask them. And impacted or competitive are just mere euphemisms in the college world. In other words, for a major to be competitive, it needs to be impacted. So do not let the words detract from the meaning. Just call UCI and get their input. Good luck!
