anyone know what other advantages the deluxe options would have, specifically for vdc? Layouts basically the same but i do know that the resident parking permit is covered for the deluxe plans. However, I have yet the figure out the math between the increased rent vs paying 300 doll hairs a quarter for resident parking should i choose the other plans.
@ricehappy10 deluxe looks like they have a washer/dryer inside the apt and that’s about all the extra I see.
@Chez59 i got Arroyo vista. I am placed in the religious theme house (i dont even remember selecting that but whatever at this point)
I got arroyo vista and I can’t stay there because they don’t have Air Conditioning I think I read that ugh so I have to apply straight through the housing options
just got the email to enroll in the Humanities advising session
Just got the email for advising. Scheduled for 7/22/2019.
so I just submitted my deposit and everything for VDC Norte. i know housing offers have only went out yesterday but has anyone received their lease agreement yet?
@ilovemydog2019 I submitted my deposit around 9pm last night and got my lease agreement this morning at 10:40-ish AM
@ilovemydog2019 did you get you first choice? I just submitted mine for vdc a couple hours ago. I probably shoulda scouted some roommates instead of going in blind but I’m excited to eventually meet some of you vdc neighbor/potential roomies this fall ?
@ricehappy10 I’ll be your neighbor at VDC
I haven’t gotten my room assignment yet, have any of you? keeping my fingers crossed for cheapest one lmao
@ilovemydog2019 $760 is the cheapest one right? Thats if you want to share a room lol.
oh lol oops, second cheapest I mean. I definitely want my own room :s
Oh i went for the deluxe option for the parking permit since I might need to use the summer anyway to catch up from the courses I couldn’t take at cc. Strictly comparing the 2 bed 2 bath options, you save like 50 bucks ish for the deluxe in contrast to getting the regular option and spending 300 for each quarter excluding the summer. So if I did the math correctly, which i have like 30% faith in, then it costs less to have the deluxe option that COMES with resident pass year round than it is to do the regular option AND buy a parking pass for each quarter WITHOUT the summer.
(REEEEE)
@ilovemydog2019 $875 that is if you don’t mind 4 ppl in one apartment. I put that floor plan as my 3rd option.
honestly i dont really care about the washer and dryer i might just go home for that stuff as a reason to see my baby dog
yeah I’m pretty sure getting the deluxe saves you money on the parking pass. I decided not to bring my car cause I’d have to dip into my savings for the parking pass and I sooo would rather not.
@ricehappy10 dude, I picked a standard 3br 2b room at VDC since my first email says rent includes parking, only to find out that it’s only for Deluxe apartments. That was very misleading.
@ricehappy10 you’re talking about deluxe right. That’s the only way you don’t pay to wash your clothes. Also I did the math and even though parking permit is included with the deluxe is not worth it at all! The deluxe is easily eating 1,500 (academic year) that can be used for something else. I plan to stay in housing 4 days 4 nights and come back to LA for the weekend.
Lol i specifically chose vdc for the zero percent chance of sharing a bedroom. Not making that mistake again after spending a year at ASU with three grown man children and not being able to nap during the day because my suite mate decided to bust through the door talking as loud as he humanly can to his dealer
