yeah I don’t mind other people as long I get privacy in my own room. My financial aid covers just about everything with the 875 floor plan so I’m hoping to keep the loans at 2k or 3k max each year

@ricehappy10 yes and even if you compare the deluxe 2 bed2 bath that is 1,130 ($13,560 for the year) to a $955 floor plan ($12,360 including the parking permit $900 for three quarters) You are saving yourself $1,200. That’s why I didn’t get deluxe.

UCI requested more document for residency two weeks ago, I haven’t heard back yet. Do you know how long they will give the final decision?
@fisher316 are you in the housing guarantee program? If yes then you should call the university, if no then you are probably on the waitlist and the wait could last until the leasing term starts

@ilovemydog2019 it goes both ways. 1 email for yourself to sign and 1 for your guarantor.

@ilovemydog2019 we out here what kind of loans were you offered?
about 8k total, with 5.5k in subsidized and 2k unsubsidized. i’m thinking i’ll need to take out about 3k if i’m lucky and manage things right before the school year starts. i just don’t want to dip too much into my savings.
@ilovemydog2019 For the subsidize loan I believe you can call and let them know you want to borrow only 2k. they can make that happen for you. Avoid getting the unsubsidized loan.
I was offered a 4K loan subsidized but I don’t think I will be able to get it after I report a scholarship I got for 3,600.
maybe you’ll be able to keep the rest of loan, if it’s worth it at that point lol. congrats on the scholarship though! i got one too but it’s only 300 dollars haha
