UCI Moving to a 4-quarter system (Summer 2007)??

<p>In the Anteaterforum, there was a post that spoke of how UCI is changing to a 4quarter system by summer '07. </p>

<p>“UCI is moving to a 4 quarter system beginning Summer 2007, so summer session will cease to exist and become a full academic quarter. Depending on class offerings, you’ll theoretically be able to pick which quarter you want to take ‘off.’”</p>

<p>Any truth to this? o.0</p>

<p>Makes sense for UCI since it is a commuter school. It really would not be that much work to deal with the relatively small numbers of on campus dwellers. In the end the commuter kids could get out faster, and UCI could accept more students through the system.</p>
