Anyone know what this school’s reputation is? I have been accepted to a 2-year master’s program here, with the first year taking palce at UCL and the second year taking place in Estonia (the program is coordinated with a collection of consortium schools and Estonia is the school I chose). I’d ideally like to work within new media at a news outlet; any idea of whether this would be possible coming from SSEES?

I don’t think you’re going to find much info about SEESS on CC! Try asking on The Student Room forums. It’s the UK equivalent of CC.
EDIT: CC won’t let me post the web address of TSR - sorry! It can be easily found on google.

I’m going to UCL next year for my MA (but not SEESS), so I can answer general questions about it. SEESS is the premier institution in the UK for Russian and Slavonic Studies - it was an independent teaching and research institute before being incorporated into UCL. All the students I’ve met who study at SEESS seem to love it, but I don’t know much more about it than that!

I do remember walking past it when I was visiting UCL - it’s seperated off a bit from the main UCL departments, but is only a 5 min walk away. It’s in the middle of the central University of London campus, which includes UCL, Birkbeck College, the School of Oriental and African Studies and a few others.
