Congrats Jane!

I just got rejected…

Accepted!!! I got my decision email on Wed. of last week.

after a week of pending…rejected, 3.8 global studies, ***!

whats that number i can call to see why i didnt get in???

still pending : l

Happy to say I’m still pending as of today.

@cellard00r call 310-825 3101 right now! It opens only at Mon-Fri 1pm-4pm

So I called UCLA again today because I thought it was pretty strange that one of my Calc classes did not fulfill the pre-req. Well, this time, the adviser told me that I did in fact meet all the pre-requisites, and I was a very competitive applicant, however, the cutoff was a 3.9 for my major (Econ). I had a 3.898. I told that I earned a 4.0 Winter quarter, so my new GPA is a 3.92, but she said they cannot consider classes taken after Fall quarter.

I just find this a little bit weird since people on this forum got in with <3.9

This leads me to believe that the counselors do not actually know the exact reason for a student’s rejection, but they just guess based on their experience. If everything looks fine and dandy, they say: “The major is really competitive, sorry.” If there is something obvious, they say: “Oh you didn’t take that math course, or your GPA is a 3.5 and the average is a 3.8.”

I am still pending as well. What are the stats for history majors that have been accepted?

Cali, I think you hit the nail on the head.

live to fight another day.

hang in there!

still flippin pending but its nice to know im not the only one. :/

“fighting!”-jandi

yea still pending. it jsut hit me that i can get it anyday now reject or accept ahhh

has anyone’s ursa changed? Mines still hasn’t.

mine changed to 2 columns D:

well, we’ll see.

see, the funny thing is there is no actual cutoff.

If the cut-off was 3.9, then the avg admitted GPA would be higher than 3.9.

But since someone was reportedly told that the avg admitted GPA was about 3.87, I would think people with a GPA as low as 3.75 was accepted for Econ. (I did read of someone having a 3.69 for this year)

Cali, you probably would of been accepted if you were a CCC applicant.

congrats girlyshout. What’s your major and alternate?
