UCLA and UCSD cost

I have been wondering how much UCLA and UCSD cost per year. I know UCLA must be more expensive than UCSD but if i were to apply to both and get accepted to both, it would come down to price. I am also curious to how much UCLA school of dentistry costs. PS I don’t have money for any of this, it will all be loans.

You can look these up yourself. I pay about $30K for UCLA (tuition + housing + misc).

Out of state residents pay $55K+ per year.

Here’s a link: http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/paying-for-uc/tuition-and-cost/

Costs for both vary little between on-campus vs off campus since housing in LA and La Jolla is very expensive.
As @aunt bea stated, as an OOS student expect to pay close to $55K/year.

As a young student, you won’t qualify for this kind of money in loans. The most you can get on your own is $5500 this year. Your parents would have to take out money for you and a number of parents don’t qualify for this type of money.

Plus, the cost of dental school looks to be about $72K for just the first year.

What if I started to build credit? Or should I kiss my dental school dreams good bye if loans are the only way?

Are you OOS?
If you are a resident of California, you would have more financial aid options and less costs.

OP, reading your initial post tells me that you are too lazy to even look up this information on the websites and expect others to do it for you. Not a good characteristic for UCLA or UCSD hopeful.

I have looked them up online and see the prices, but a counselor at my school told me what I see on the website isn’t how much it would cost. She said it depends, so with this thread I wanted to hear it from some one that goes to UCLA or UCSD, that’s all.

And yes I am a resident.

Billed cost is billed cost. It depends on how much merit and/or need based aid that you get. What foes the NPC say for each school?

As a California resident, your costs would not be at full fees.
do you qualify for a Cal grant or the MCS?
You need to look those up to help you pay for school.

For instate, you can get need based aid if you qualify. That depends on your parents income and assets. The schools will likely cost the same, but you are confusing the issue by talking about dental school with is a graduate pursuit. If you are talking about undergraduate, run the Net Price Calculator on the university financial aid pages to check the cost for your family.
