I called UCLA to ask why i was rejected from my alternate philosophy and she said it was because you needed two pre reqs. I only had one done. But on assist.org it does not state anywhere that you need at least two pre reqs done. Do i have a legitimate chance of an appeal?

it doesn’t matter what assist says. Admissions has final say.

same thing happened to me… on assist my alternate environmental science doesnt have any prereqs… so i told the person on the phone that but they said it was my responsibility to check the ucla site and find the prereqs… i guess they were on there but i just trusted assist

the first lady on the phone said i needed at least 2/4 pre reqs completed. The second lady said i needed all of them completed. It doesn’t mention on assist, the ucla site, or anywhere else that half or all of these courses need to be completed prior to transfer. I’ve heard that admissions are not too strict on the completion of major preps, especially for non impacted majors. These two advisers told me different things. Who is right?

The UCLA philosophy website clearly states that there are 4 prereqs for that major. Assist.org also displayed those 4 prereqs on the articulation with my CC when I checked moments ago. I assume if you don’t have those complete, its completely up to their discretion.

For my school.
