Discussion and results for people who appealed for UCLA 2015
Has anyone heard back? I read last years posts and they seemed to get back after a week?

@oxyloxy I wrote about how losing 8 family members really changed my life, but I was still able to obtain A’s in all my courses and AP courses offered… P.s my school only offers about five… Lol

@oxyloxy I wrote about how I joined new clubs and how UCLA is my dream school… But idk if it will cut it ;(
@questioncollege what clubs? I joined a couple clubs as well but I didn’t mention that…
In my personal statement I mentioned about how I lost my baby brother and he’s the reason why I want to be an obgyn doctor(baby doctor) and I know that at ucla I would be able to accomplish my goals but since the appeal letter had to be new information, I mentioned about how I was diagnosed with a breast lump during my SAT sessions(age 16 and now I’m 17) and that’s the reason for my low Sat scores (but my gpa increased to a 4.02) cause I was focused on my health and couldn’t concentrate during class, however, not so long ago the doctors told me its not cancer but I am at risk since my grandma’s past away with that. Therefore, cause of my brothers death and my health issue I would like to start an organization that has to do with that. I also mentioned that my mom has worked for ucla for the past 15 years which has influenced my desire of attending ucla. Last but not least, I mentioned that I would be involved uclas community because I have experience in many extra curricular activities, clubs, volunteer hours and leadership positions. @questioncollege @dannyman1019
@oxyloxy I’m sorry about your loss and your health concerns. I hope you get better and all of us get into UCLA. Good luck! Also, I said I joined math club and best buddies.
Anyways; do you guys know when they will release the decisions? I don’t want to wait until the May 1 deadline and pay a deposit to another school.
@questioncollege I’m pretty sure we’ll be hearing back by either the end of this month, if not then May 1st…
I’ve noticed that most of the people who get accepted hear back after May 1st cause that’s when they know for sure how many spots they have open . Btw 3 of those spots are for us @Questionscollege @dannyman1019
