^I meant to say what percentage of kids.

Don’t worry about it - I doubt anyone will be able to give you a good answer to that question, anyway. But you don’t need to have taken AP Chem to do well in the 14 series. They will cover everything you need to know.

Quick Question:
when they say STC “loans” out wired routers for use during the year, am I supposed to expect there’s a fee involved? Or is it a free lending system? I’ll be in a hedrick triple, so we’re gonna be needing a hub or something. I just find it really aggravating that they still have the audacity to charge us when they should have put three ports and/or wireless in the rooms in the first place.

i’m iffy on bringing my own router because of the legal implications. not that i dont trust my roommates.

It doesn’t cost any money to get an ethernet hub for a triple at the STC. Only if it gets damaged or lost then the person who checked it out is charged a fee.

Pretty quick to jump to judgments, aren’t you?!

[Lovesac like bean bag chairs and foam furniture](http://www.foamhut.com/)

does this foam bag site look legit for ordering? since I doubt futons would fit in the dorms, I’m planning to just get a huge bean/foam bag. It has good prices and selection, but I google’d that site and there’s not much info about it.

Ooh, those things are like heaven. But I don’t think it’d fit even in a double plaza. Single plaza, yes. Single hall, it’d be a little tight.

Not sure about suites.

I want the 8ft drum as a bed.

two questions:

Do we need to bring our own laundry detergrent wehn washing clothe at UCLA?

Second, how many times do we need to pay for housing before the school actually starts? I paid a few mnoth ago when i first applied and received the hosuing thing(costed about 2000 some odd dollars). But on a letter sent by UCLA(basically a letter stating all the cost for attending UCLA) it said I had to pay for housing for both pre-fall and fall for housing. I checked my my-housing account and ir said my balance is 1900 dollars.

yes

i think 4. i had the same thing and i thought they messed up or something but my mommy called and i think they said you have to pay 4 times

It depends on what payment plan you chose. If you’re a poor Mexican like me, you don’t pay at all until you get your financial aid.

anybody know how hard the Chinese elementary placement test is? i hope it’s as easy as it sounds. but then again, i’d hate to get ahead of myself, as pointed out by MrPink. if i had taken AP Chinese before is it more than enough to say place me in intermediate chinese or above?

^ that’s my question too

Is there a bus I can take from UCLA to Union Station, and if so, which one? And where’s the pick-up point at UCLA?

[metro.net | Transit Services and Information for Los Angeles County](http://www.mta.net)

Awesome, thanks!

Are you supposed to enroll in Vietnamese 1A before you take the placement test? The ALC website says that placement test scores are only valid for three quarters, but since they only offer the test in the fall, how are you ever supposed to get into the class?

enroll in it now. take the test soon – they spam you with time and date or look up vietnamese 1a ucla and email some coordinator or the time/date’s up there

Unfortunately, Lecture 1 was closed when I went to orientation, and Lecture 2 was canceled, so I can’t enroll in anything right now. I just wanted to make sure that I didn’t have to take the test this fall if I want to enroll next year.

Is it usually this difficult to squeeze into the class?

itll open up once kids take the enrollment test or drop out
trust
the instructors are preety nice - so it should be ok
just show up
u can take it next fall if youre enrolling next fall - either way talk to that coordinator director person… uhh on the website ya
