They are loaning out minihubs (with one Ethernet cable to connect the hub to your Ethernet port) by the Student Technology Center in front of Covel. There’s a tent with a couple of laptops out. All you need is your student ID number.

I’m an intl student and I will probably arrive in the US by the end of next week. I haven’t paid the BAR tuition and registration fees yet. I know it’s already late, but what happens if I don’t pay it by the 26th? Do my classes get dropped?
Also, I think there is a check-in for intl students next week on the 25th. What happens if I don’t make it? If I arrive one day later, will they still let me check-in?
Sorry for all these questions.

yeah your classes are dropped. Call them and ask for an extension deadline

You’ll get a hold on your account i.e. can’t drop classes, can’t get transcripts, can’t do ****, and you’ll get a late fee.

Mang, we should resume building the [Superconducting Super Collider](Superconducting Super Collider - Wikipedia) to reestablish the supremacy of American science. Europeans have all the fun.

I have a problem with my loans - my lender thinks I’m graduating june 2009 and set me up to start paying jan 2010 - is there a way to let them know that this is not the correct time? I tried calling/e-mailing them but no avail.

Also, I have a master promissory note waiting to be signed but it states that I’m a fifth year and I’m not…where do I go to resolve this as well?

Thanks =)

^ talk to the financial aid office. The lenders will need verification from them as to your degree expected term. Same for the MPN - ask finaid about it.

Do you actually have PLUS loans? In that case, you start repayment six months from whence you borrowed the loan.

Hey, to the kids who have already moved in, did you ever actually need to use your printed out parking permit? Because my printer’s really low on ink, and I’d rather not use it if I could.

nope i never had to use it

pink:
my parking permit was somewhere in my luggage haha… no one checked anything they just ask you which building you’re moving into and tell you where to park

this is just for de neve

justin.tv for some games. espn360 for primetime ESPN games ( if UCLA is scheduled)

also where can i go to talk to my academic counselor?

They used to have it at Shoe City, but it’s been replaced now. Try Wooden, the little kiosk next to the stairs.

Do you have games at least to keep you from being lonely?

shoe city is no longer there? what did they replace it with?

I just remembered the UCLA store had ACE. It’s in the small section where they keep the Rainbows and Levis.

Yes, shoecity is gone because they had bad business. Their shoes never changed the latter part of the year, and had low variety. They should have throw in better Dunks, AF1, Stussy, Bape, Y3, Jordans, more of that stuff.

It’s now an extension of the gift stuff and cards.
