lol thanks for the input people. I kind of already feel like a lost hobo. But oh welll. I’m kind of thinking not to go to orientation because i’m cheap that way. Any strong opposition? I mean…how confusing can it be?

ah, i’ve taken 127. good class! i’m saving 115 for summer just to get it over with that much quicker. good luck though!

haha getting distracted from scrubs… that’s amusing. i love living in my apartment, it’s so far away from undie run that i can watch TV in peace!

atlantis- go to orientation. if you don’t go, you can’t sign up for classes until every other freshman has done their orientation (because you sign up at your session). it CAN be confusing, and there’s a lot of indirect perks you get from going. it’s worth getting a taste of life here before you start. so just go.

Hey, if I bought the principles of physics (3 vols) for physics 6A, will I still be able to use webassign for 6b, or do I have to purchase another pass or whatevs?

What are the chances of someone who was waitlisted (music major) hearing back from UCLA before the May 1 SIR deadline? My friend got 'listed, and UCLA is one of his top choices (got into the San Francisco Conservatory, but it’s hella expensive), so I’d like to be able to tell him something.

Is anyone’s MyUCLA down? Whenever I try logging into mine it says “User verification failed. ISIS user verification call failed.” URSA works fine though, so does BOL email.

hey so i made a thread…probably shouldn’t have so sorry for that!
anyway…i am not getting a “You’re invited!” to a welcome to college day on my admission ‘letter’ or anywhere really.

does ucla only invite some people to their welcome to college day thing?

when does financial aid for 09-10 get posted up? my housing depends on the financial aid i get and the first payment is due like april 1 or around then…

For Physics 6A, I have to get “Princ Physics (4th) (3-vol Split)(w/webassign/smrt” by Serway. I only see volumes 1 and 2 for sale on the Internet. So, I MUST buy it from the UCLA Store? What is “smrt”?

@entran202: It’s probably some attached CD or program that gives you access to one of the publishers and allows you to do your homework online. Call the UCLA bookstore and ask if you can purchase the CD or whatever supplemental material separately from the textbook if that saves you money.

This summer I will be visiting some relatives in another state. If I took a class or two there over the summer would the class be transferable to UCLA (I’m an incoming freshman, class 2013) ?
I would guess that it would not transfer but I want to make sure.

Does anyone know if i actually can take a class without taking an “enforced corequistite”? Because I’m thinking of leaving physics 1B for summer school but would love to take the physics 4AL this quarter…
