UCLA and berkeley are very different schools. ucla is known to progressive…somewhat like sci-arch while berkeley has more of a focus on sustainability. i have two profs from UCLA…very into contemporary/digital/surface oriented architecture

Hey @vyan ,
you said that you’re an undergrad in UCLA architecture.
I heard that the school only have architectural studies, which is different from the architecture itself.
So, there’s really an architecture major there? and what was your GPA to enter? do you know the average gpa to enter to UCLA arch major?
THANK YOU!
You do realize you’re asking your question on a seven year old thread?
Yes, it seems vyan is long gone.
@fennnnnnnn, You are correct UCLA doesn’t offer an undergraduate professional degree (BArch). It does offer a BA in architectural studies which (according to UCLA) is a preparation for a Master of Architecture.

From their website, my understanding is that the Architectural Studies major is a two year program and that you apply to transfer into the major when you are sophomore.
