<p>Tell your parents to ask for a supervisor and get themselves removed from the call list. It will only take once.</p>
<p>Rather than saying “No thanks” or hanging up on them, have your parents interrupt right away and tell the telemarketer to please remove their name from the calling list. That generally works for me. If it doesn’t work, then they should ask for a supervisor and insist on it again.</p>
<p>Do not pick up phones from unknown numbers, which could likely be a telemarketer. If it isn’t, and the call is important, a message would be left on your answering machine. :rolleyes:</p>
