@sakurako Is UCI like UCR and they release decisions on a rolling basis? That was eternal hell when I was waiting for UCR. I didn’t get my decision until almost mid February and it was super discouraging seeing people post about acceptances. I really feel you… I hope the decision comes out soon.
@hallowdreams yeah, it really is! This website literally is a tool when junior year arrived for me. But i never made an account until the beginning of March lol. Do you know anyone with high or low stats that got the supplemental?
Same for uci!
@sakurako same here! I haven’t gotten in anywhere yet, which makes waiting for UCI (plus UCLA of course) that much more stressful
@sakurako @eo2019
GPA: 3.86
SAT: 1710
6 APs
ECs: Band 4 years, Swimming 3 years, Leadership, CSF 3 years, AP Club 2 Years (VP)
Class Rank 10/350 I think
My personal statement was about how my experiences with domestic violence, homelessness, and depression actually helped me strive to achieve my goals and how these experiences changed my perception of the world.
The second prompt was how band helped me find myself.
For the supplement I elaborated on the stuff I wrote in my essays…Had a 4.3 for my fall senior grade report.
I pray to God every night and ask that I may be accepted.
@KDurham Same. I’d like to sleep until Friday. Wake up and then pass onto Saturday view my (possible) decision from Pitzer. Sleep again until the 24th and view my decision from USC and then sleep and wake up for the 26th (UCB) and then prepare for a solid rejection from Stanford.
I don’t believe this, but supposedly uci’s least impacted majors are engineering and business while their highest in biological sciences…
@eo2019 What’s supposed to be where?
@eo2019 I don’t. I don’t really recall anyone ever mentioning what their stats were when they posted about receiving a supplemental. I don’t know anyone in person either that received a supplemental either…
No Supplement @ 3.64(ish) unweighted GPA, 2300 combiSAT, and a fair share of AP’s as well as other tough classes. I tried hard on my essays and extra curriculars, but they aren’t standout masterpieces probably. Japanese Green-Card OOS is a minus.
For sure these stats aren’t stellar, but not terrible either. Which side of the “No Supplement” pile am I in? I guess I find out soon! (LA+B)
@bayboi707 wow great stats, better than mine forsure. I pray every night too, this school is calling my name lol. Also, my personal statement was on being a first generation nigerian and how I hated my culture due to being teased most of my life and why my parents weren’t American enough. To becoming someone who’s matured and has accepted her culture through dance performances etc.
@hallowdreams the word “lmao” with the “f” in it was censorsed. And oh okay, are you from California?
@hallowdreams yeah uci is a rolling basis. that’s why i’m freaking out. ):
@eo2019 I am! SoCal and in extreeeeeeeemeeeeeeeeely close proximity to USC and UCLA. They would be ideal schools.
@sakurako No worries.
Fingers crossed for your acceptance.
@eo2019 I received the supplement as well!
@hallowdreams ahh same!!! From San Diego though lol and they would be! westsideeeeeee haha
@Jalaquan do you mind sharing your stats? (: and what did you talk about on yours? And what major did you apply for?
I only received the supplemental questionnaire to Berkeley, if only I got one for UCLA as well
Is having a massive amount of ECs (5 Leadership Positions and an Internship) enough to cope with subpar test scores and GPA
@awesomesauce8312 that’s good! Wish I got the same too!
