ok there’s no way ucla would just randomly admit a few instate students. usually the first instate wave is a decent size, so its prolly cap.
honestly, i don’t think ucla will release a wave tmrw, considering they’ll have less than a day to figure out who to admit, but you never know!
@Gumbymom what are your thoughts on this. uclas first waves of admits were may 16 and 17th for oos and IS respectively and the commitment deadline was may 15th last year if i’m not mistaken so it was a pretty fast turnaround
oh i thought the commitment deadline was may 1 last year. nevermind there could be a good chance it’s tmrw!
Sorry, I cannot give any special insight into the waitlist admits dates and I try not to make any predictions since the waitlist situation changes every year. All I can say is it will happen when it happens.
I had all As and one B in multivariable calc junior year which was prob why I got waitlisted.

in previous years the waves usually came out in the morning. do you guys think there’s still a chance they come out today or will it probably be next friday
Next Friday so far it’s always been at 8am PT this year. Very small chance possibly tomorrow as historically there have occasionally been Saturday waves but most likely next Friday

last year there seemed to be tuesday and saturday waves (but for oos and/or international). are ucla’s in state waves usually always friday?
i really hope its tmr but I honestly doubt it, I would just advise us all to give them at least this first week

I have not kept track of the waitlist admit times or any information prior to 2022 so I cannot say about afternoon release times.
I have not found there is a set schedule/day to release IS waitlist admits based on the information I collected from 2022-2024.
Someone on Reddit claims to have been admitted off the waitlist for Engineering today (5/3). In-state as well.
that’s kinda weird. UCLA was admitting OOS students off the waitlist in waves, but if this post is true then they’re not doing it for instate (just by individual).
