<p>I didn’t see many comm admits on the official thread, so I thought I would start a specific thread for us.</p>
<p>What are you guys planning on doing as your focus? Is anyone minoring in anything? I’m planning on minoring in Film, Television, and Digital Media, and also in Spanish. I think my focus will be Mass Comm.</p>

Since I am planning to travel around Europe and Asia during summer, I would have no choice but give up my traveling plans if everybody is going to finish their pre-reqs by this fall…</p>

<p>My CC only offered 5/7. I am not planning on doing them over summer though. I’m going to be working at taking a couple computer courses at my CC, so I think I’ll just wait until fall. Which ones do you have left? I still need to do Intro to Comm studies, and Anthro 33.</p>
<p>I say you should go travel!! It would be a nice way to unwind after all the chaos of applications and your last semester at CC.</p>

<p>Yea, I’ll definitely go traveling~~ I left out the same pre-reqs as you too! But I think I will do Socio24 instead of Anthro33. Do you know if it will be very hard to enroll in the courses of other department?</p>

<p>What were your GPA’s? I’m applying this Nov and I really want to do Communication @ UCLA but I’m worried I’ll get rejected. I got a B in Comm1 and a B in Soc1, got A’s in all other prereqs. My overall GPA will be around 3.70 but I’ve worked for a magazine publisher for 5 years and participated in industry organizations so I hope that would help. Do you think I should apply as Communicaion or should I just do Poli Sci or Soc??</p>

<p>They look at your overall GPA, but I would assume your pre-req GPA is pretty important. I would try to get as close to a 3.9 or 4.0 cumulative GPA as you can.</p>

<p>I’m not sure what my emphasis will be on yet! I’ve been looking through the classes to get a good grasp of what would be better for me and I’ve been leaning toward mass. comm but haven’t decided. I was also interested in possibly pursuing the Computer Specialization.</p>
<p>The thing is that on the Comm Studies site, it says we can do the computing specialization, OR a minor OR double-major. So I was like, does that mean I wouldn’t be able to do a minor along with specializing in computing for CS?</p>
<p>I would really like to do a minor and was considering either film, theater, or education studies…</p>
