UCLA is my dream school and I would love to run crosss country for them when I graduate highschool. I’m a sophomore with a 5k time of 15:44. I had some personal problems at the time which affected my time as I could have done better. My schools cross country team is the best in our leauge and we have been undefeated for 2 years so far at the varsity level. We have gone to CIF prelims and finals, this year and last and I have raced both times. I am also All-leauge 1 year. Not sure of track times but I shall see later on this season.

I am an URM, have a few SIGNIFICANT cross country awards/achievements and my grandfather was an alumni of UCLA and has donated in the past. I know various other people who have graduated from UCLA.
I am taking AP classes and plan on taking the SAT/SAT II/ACT my junior and senior year. My GPA is a bit on the low side rounding off to about a 3.5 weighted. I plan on getting my grades up to hopefully 4.0+
So I have two questions…
-
Do you think I have a chance being recruited by UCLA? (I don’t care if it’s scholarship or walk-on as I just want to attend the school! Also, keep in mind I have 2 years left, and our team gets faster every year.)

Do I fill out the UCLA recruit form now? I heard the sooner the better, but as the form asks for SAT/ACT scores which i do not have atm, I am unsure…If I do fill it out then that’s it? Or do they contact me or what? I am pretty confused about recruiting up to this point and would like some clarification.
