<p>The admission process focuses on talent.</p>

In addition to the UC application, all applicants to the UCLA Department of Ethnomusicology are required to submit a supplemental application via online upload. Upon receipt of the UC application, all applicants will be contacted by the department via email with a prompt for supplemental materials. Supplemental materials are due to the department by January 13th, 2012.</p>

<p>Questionnaire/ Personal Statement / Unofficial Transcripts - Required of all applicants.</p>

<p>Audition - Required of all applicants.</p>

<p>Letters of Recommendation – Two (2) required of all applicants.</p>

<p>Auditions are scheduled by instrument over several weekend dates in late January/early February. The department will send specific audition appointment information to applicants directly upon receipt of their UC application.</p>

<p>Applicants may audition in person or submit an audition recording. Applicants who reside within a 200-mile radius of UCLA are required to audition on campus. All applicants are strongly encouraged to audition in person if at all possible.
