I think we’ve established that it varies year to year.
And we’ll see what happens to us. I wish good fortune for all of us.
Maybe the measles outbreak will scare some students away :’D jk … kinda

anybody know if we as waitlisted students are at a disadvantage when it comes to financial aid? cost is definitely going to be a deciding factor for me and although UCLA is my #1 choice, i am not sure if waiting is even worth it…

Guys if we’re waitlisted do we still need to stay in our major prep classes this semester? I’m a psych major and really wanna drop philosophy, I completed the other major prep courses though.
Hey everyone I have news,
So I called UCLA Admissions and asked why I was waitlisted and the answer was pretty generic that “we just don’t have enough space” But the officer that I spoke to also told me that in fact they under rolled this year and their main goal is to get as many people off the waitlist as they can. Of course, this is not a guarantee so we all should still SIR the other schools.
@chez59 I would suggest sticking to your class, just in case.
@ishitak sounds pretty dubious lol…
a UCLA admissions rep visited our school and told me the same thing. Apparently they over enrolled in previous years. However I dont know if that actually means theyre going to pull more people from the waitlist if the goal is to enroll less anyways…
anybody writing an essay? does it really even matter?
@yusanlol I’m not writing a big essay just a small one pleading my case
Mine is around 3000 characters including the fall, winter, and spring courses. Also, some freshmen are getting off of waitlist pretty early this year. I hope this is also good news for us. Apparently, some of them didn’t even write a waitlist essay but still got in.
