UCLA Film/Neuroscience

Hi,
I’m currently a junior in high school exploring my options. I’m extremely interested in Neuroscience (my main career path is to become a neurologist or neuroscientist), lacrosse (have talked to UCLA coaches already), and film (potential minor or even major).
My question is a major in Neuroscience (Pre-Med), a minor/major in film, and club lacrosse reasonable? Or am I just setting myself up for failure with the workload?

My stats are:
3.93 unweighted, approx. 4.3 or 4.4 weighted
680 Critical Reading, 700 Math, 680 Writing (I TOOK THIS AS AN 8th GRADER- retaking in May or June)
AP Tests in May (World History, US History, BC Calculus, Biology)
Some ECs (Football, lacrosse, newspaper, community service)
College courses at UCLA, Oregon State eCampus, and Harvard (Cognitive Science, Psychology, Screenwriting, Film Production, and Neurobiology)
I have also published short stories in national publications (online and in magazines)

Actually I’m not sure about my weighted GPA, so just ignore that

Do realize that UCLA film only takes in 8 ppl every year

It sounds like the film minor would be a really good option for you, especially if you want to go to med school. I was thinking of applying into the film major, but after realizing I want to do it purely for enjoyment and not to go into a film career, I decided on the minor instead. I’m also a south campus major who’s really involved in extra-curriculars, and I haven’t found that it’s way too much to handle, so I’d say go for it.

Actually, 30 people get accepted into the film major and even more get accepted into the minor.
But yes, I realize it’s hard to get into.

Yeah, that’s probably what I’ll do. It’s great to hear from someone who’s gone through that themselves.
