Hopefully there are more room to guarantee.
Me too from UCLA & UCI & UCSD flatly out rejected him. He has 4.78 GPA and 3.9 uw gpa! 11 APs and all honors classes throughout with 4-year varsity team captain. Maybe an essay writing not appealing enough? Luckily enough he got into UCSB and possibly Cal for him to reconsider…since he likes Pacific Ocean to surf, he seems to be inclined to be a Gaucho…
I was admitted this past Wednesday, so I’m in the same boat. I found this in the UCLA Ask Housing site.
“Incoming freshmen students admitted from the waitlist will have 15 days from the date on their admission notice to submit their housing application to maintain their housing priority. If possible, students admitted from the waitlist should try to still submit their application by the May 15 deadline if they are able to do so, to be included in the initial offers for all freshmen students.”
Additionally, after you complete your housing application, you’ll receive an offer with a certain building and room type. If you have a roommate in mind already, you can room with them ONLY if they have the same building and room type, and both of you mutually request each other on the housing application. If you get different buildings/room types, you have to submit a Change of Assignment Request to attempt to have the same building/room type (not guaranteed and based on space availability)
Also for those admitted off the waitlist, make sure to go through the Freshmen Checklist as it’s pretty helpful when trying to catch up on all the forms and applications required for UCLA. This especially includes the New Student Orientation, as you have to submit a reservation in advance to attend, and spots will soon only be available for the later sessions (doesn’t really put students at a disadvantage, but families will have less choices when choosing which session they want to attend).

Not yet, he got in through 2nd OOS wave. Those who got off the WL would be treated the same as RD admits. The envelope should be on the way, and the second envelop will be sent in late Sept.
Asking for a friend, any hope for engineering waitilist IS?? Praying my bro gets in:pray:
Congratulations to everyone who got in today! Very happy for all of you. Hoping and praying my DD gets in along with everyone else still waiting word.
Does anyone know how the housing process will work for admitted students from the waitlist? Will they send an email soon about the housing options and process or do I have to fill that out on my own?
How many waves were there last year? We’ve had 2 IS LS waves so far-do we expect another or is it only case by case basis now?
