UCLA: Housing @ Rieber Terrace & Fin Aid Q; Confusing?

I’m wondering a bit on this current step in the UCLA transfer process.

Firstly, I’m wondering if being accepted at the Rieber Terrace @ UCLA is a good place to be at. From the (few) information i’ve gathered online, it seems there is a nice lobby reception downstairs, good eats in the building and is relatively a relaxing place to live. I also read that if you get a room facing the west and are on a higher floor you can see the ocean from your windows.

I’d like to have financial aid cover the housing bill, so I just want to make sure I don’t have to pay anything out of my pocket when the housing app acceptance is due on June 21st.

Secondly, I’m REALLY wondering about Financial Aid and what things I need to do before actually going to UCLA. I still need to pay $9,000 that wasn’t covered by Fin Aid, but I’m to assume I’ll need to take out a student loan…
Is this automatically done for me, or should I be expecting something in the mail or is this something to discuss at the orientation in July?

…Oh! & Finally, which meal plan is everyone choosing?
