UCLA Housing Thread

I want to bring my longboard, but I hear UCLA is hill-y…? Don’t know how that would work out.

@1netruesole - I don’t think they do, but that would be nice (esp. for early morning classes). We should look into that. I know UCSD has 'em!

yeah ucla is really hilly…longboard on the way down, carry it on the way back

i know numerous long-boarders who go to ucla… dont worry

hey does anyone know how big of a tv you can bring?

^uclabound20 i just decided I want to be your roommate if its going to be an issue that your TV is too big lol jk really though you shouldnt have a problem bringing a 37 or 42 or inch

lol. yeah i plan to bring a 42" but I got a housing offer for rieber vista triple shared and i saw the online pictures of how the room was structured and all i was thinking while looking at the picture is ‘where can i put my tv’? LOL

i got rieber terrace double shared bath, what floors do they stick the transfers in or do they scatter them around?

Reiber Terrace is co-ed floors, right?

…not down with the mast-fest. =/

I got a single apartment in Glenrock. I can’t pay for it though because I gotta pay off my tuition… anybody want to switch with me??

P.S. if anybody knows ANYTHING about how you switch (i know its on the housing site… but its confusing to me) please let me know! Thanks!

@tiffanyvu: how much is it? i wanted a single but got a triple

Damn, I’m currently living in a double at UCSC and UCLA puts me in a triple at Sunset Village. Serious downgrade right there!

Rieber Terrace
double shared
female…
uhhhh, so wanted de neve

I did too, you can bring it if you end up being my roommate. :)

mee too i wanted de neve. jimmiyimmi i wonder if we’re going to be roomates! aahaha

So i got triple shared bath in sunset village, but which specific residential plaza is it?! (canyon point, courtside, or delta terrace)?

Xiverz, haha maybe~~if not at least we’re neighbors :)

when do we know our roommates? i thought we have an option to give our new roommates contact info right?

@UCLAbound20: Its 12,000 for a year. Where did you get a triple at? I sent in a CAR already so if you wanted the single apt you could probably get it…

@antonthesky: talked to a representative this morning and he said roommate assignment will come out in August. also he said if i & my friends put our names in each other’s application and every information matches, most likely we will room together. but he does not guarantee.

So, question: We pay for everything (in this case, housing) now and get a refund through our financial aid awards later? How does receiving your aid work exactly?
