I am a little surprised and very concerned too.
The admissions ARE rolling, and the website said March 31st, so I guess the people who already got initial acceptances were very high qualified.
My friend said the email was very vague though.

It is not actually rolling admission. If anyone from the original batch decline they will select someone from the list. I am surprised that we only know about 2 people getting in.
Their website says “We will start notifying admitted applicants on March 31, 2015 on a rolling basis. Last year applicants were notified by April 18 if they were accepted into the program. If you do not hear from us, then you have not been admitted.”
I hope it’s rolling, at least… D:
Is it possible it’s based on individual labs/mentors selecting based on the first preferences?

This is really puzzling. Does anyone know of anyone at all who actually received an acceptance email on or after March 31st?
I’m so confused. At the same time, it did say that if you don’t get anything, you didn’t get in…I contacted them yesterdays anyways and they didn’t reply yet.

I think this program is not too popular, that is why not too many people comment here. Last year Herrera was traveling and they had a delay until April. So far only one person on this board received something and someone else’s friend got in. Not too much information for 60 spots.
Hi everyone!! I’m a sophomore from California and I applied to the HSSRP program too. I don’t think my chances of getting in are very high but I tried anyway 
Has anyone heard anything else from them yet? Also, do you guys think that if we didn’t get through the initial selection we’re on the waiting list? The wait to find out is killing me !!!
