UCLA Parking Permit/Regents Scholar

So I’ve searched quite a few threads here but they were mostly outdated and not exactly what I was looking for.

How hard is it for a freshman to get a parking permit? Obviously I can’t be on campus but how far away should my commute be?

How hard is it to be a Regents scholar (guaranteed parking)? My stats are as follows: 570R 760M 650W (1980), 790 Math Level 2, 680 Chem. Apparently they give this out to the top 1.5% or so, but couldn’t find the average stats of those people. Applying to Henry Samueli School of Engineering.

Thank you :)

You will have the toughest time trying to get a parking permit. No guidelines are given for distance of commute, but maybe if you had an off-campus job it would boost your chances as well.

Being accepted as a Regents scholar will be very hard. Those statistics do not seem like Regents statistics to me. I’m thinking 2200 or 2300+ on the SAT, and very high GPA (4.4+).
