I have recently take MCDB 60 with Cvrkel and the class has made me seriously consider changing my major to philosophy. However, I am concerned about my GPA as I want to go to medical school, so I was wondering if any philosophy majors could tell me about the difficulty of upper division philosophy courses compared to MCDB 60?

You might want to contact the user beyphy, I don’t see him on the UCLA forum as much anymore, but if I recall correctly he was a philosophy major.

I heard Cvrkel was fairly difficult, I know Pham used to teach MCDB 60 but looks like Cvrkel has taken sole responsibility for teaching the course.

I had a friend who was a senior philosophy major about 4 years ago tell me that philosophy was the easiest major. If I were switching, I would worry more about getting a high science GPA and graduating on a timely manner than whether philosophy is hard.
