UCLA possible rescind?

Admitted Transfer Student. I submitted my spring grades in June and had a good total gpa at that point in time, higher than 3.9. Also, at the end of spring, I had already taken all the major preparatory courses I needed as well as obtained much more than the required 60 Semester Units.

I originally wasn’t going to (and this was not listed on my application), but I decided late in June to take a summer math course I didn’t need to transfer, and it absolutely destroyed me. I receive grades in a week and am wondering if I’ll get rescinded if I fail it. It does not fulfill any requirements at all.

Meaning what?

@Gumbymom

It’s not a class I had to take. And it was hard…

Was your grade below a C.

If the Math course was not a required course for Transfer and not part of your provisional admission contract, then you could be OK but that is up to UCLA admissions to determine if they will rescind.

However, if you get a D or F that grade will be on your permanent college record so you will want retake the course at some point to replace the grade.

Good luck and please update once you get a decision from UCLA.
