UCLA psychology major - should I skip classes?

I’m planning to major in psychology in ucla, but I have a question. There’s some classes I need like Psychology 10 and Philosophy. However, should I take community college classes that complete these requirements?

If I do, I get to skip these classes , but isn’t it better when I actually apply to the major and I have taken Psychology 10 and Philosophy at the UC and not some community college? Also it would raise my gpa since these classes aren’t too hard, as opposed to just skipping a chance to raise my gpa by taking these requirements at the community college.
Thank you! :)

Psych 10 was one of the few classes I actually enjoyed learning about. Once you get past the neuroanatomy portion of the class, the information is actually really interesting/applicable.

I think you should take these classes at UCLA. They are intro classes so not that difficult as you said, but also, it will give you some insight on what you are getting yourself into. You don’t want to take a harder psych class later at UCLA and realize that you don’t like the major as much as you previously thought.

My half-cent suggestion is: If the courses are related to your future professional career, don’t try to skip.
