How many of you were invited and applied for this award?

For those of you who applied for this… what did you put on the 3 minute CD/DVD they asked for?

How many of you were invited and applied for this award?

I just talked about the different activities I’m involved in, etc.

No one in here applied for it??

what is it? and what do you have to do/have in order to apply for it?

I tried to explain why I wanted to attend UCLA to begin with. Also, I tried to elaborate on my own personal uses for the scholarship…

“what is it? and what do you have to do/have in order to apply for it?”

They send you a letter telling you that you are ‘invited’ to apply and ask for 2 letters of recommendation, a 3 minute cd or dvd, and official transcript. It’s supposed to be the most prestigious scholarship at ucla.

o, what were your guy’s GPA for you to be invited?

4.0

I think only a 4.0 gpa gets you invited… I’m not sure.

4.0…

yeah 4.0 in order to even be invited… 3.75 for the ucla alumni scholarship

I think I’ve got a 3.79ish…was I supposed to have received a letter about the alumni scholarship?

^I think so.

Anyone can apply for the alumni scholarship-- usually an alumni from UCLA and invite you to apply, but you do not necessarily need to be invited in order to apply

“I think I’ve got a 3.79ish…was I supposed to have received a letter about the alumni scholarship?”

I have a 3.79 as well…never received a letter or call from an ucla alumni…but I know someone with a 3.58 that did…very frustruating
