Yes it was stupid of her, but i don’t think she deserved the death threats, harassment, ect. It’s so sad that one stupid little mistake created a huge impact on her life.

Welcome to the YouTube age… Also, this thread will probably be deleted like the other one.

Very sad. I really doubt any Asians were harmed in a meaningful way by her rant, yet noe she has to give up a world class education.

did 4chan get a hold of it?

those cats are crazy

I am going to say this, most asians would not care what she has to say. The only ones who turn it into a *****storm are the ones who have nothing better to do.

This girl needs to wait a year for this to blow over and get a name change and plastic surgery. There is no way she is going to land a job outside of her daddy’s office.

Welp, that’s room for one more transfer student!

i think its just natural human behavior. When a person strikes you, you wanna strike that person back even harder.

i guess you reap what you sow. thats life.

I agree things were blown out of proportion but for someone to go online and say the things she said and expect no consequences is ridiculous. Freedom of speech is a double edged sword. If you are going to set out to speak ignorantly about a group of people based on minimal experience, you best be willing to have people do the same to you. That’s what happened and if she can’t handle it, it’s a good riddance for UCLA.

Honestly, I feel bad for her.

This is the year 2011, and anyone over 18 who doesn’t realize that any YouTube rant has the potential of ruining one’s future is seriously ignorant.

I’d bang her…

hehehe

“Welp, that’s room for one more transfer student!”

I was thinking the exact same thing hahahahahha.

Stupid. Take a quarter off, go back, and most everyone will have forgotten about you.

I wouldn’t go back at all if I had a dad who was successful in the real estate game and I was doing poli sci with no hope whatsoever of getting into a grad school. Let’s face it, someone on an admissions board Googles her name and she is done - app in the trashcan. And come on, she is probably getting straight C’s anyway. That girl is a ■■■■■■.

i only half listened to what she said, but i think there is no way she could be deserving of death threats, harrassment, etc. not that there are really people who are deserving of death threats.

anyway, maybe i should actually pay attention a little more to what she said, because none of what i heard was well…that bad. i heard she commented in a mean way on the tsunami victims. is that true? if so, yeah, that’s out of line. still, not deserving of what she has received. and she quickly realized her mistake and took the vid down and apologized. i think that is enough to atone for a slight breakdown from finals.

i feel bad for her and don’t think she deserves this, basically.

Sure, she’s bad, but I wanted to see if the UCLA Library was going to take any action about disruptive cell phone use in the designated study areas of the library. Not to mention whether UCLA was going to support her First Amendment rights.

She probably will change her name, lose the bleached hair, and transfer to a different uc or even state. That is what i would do.

The video was much more funny than it was offensive. But it was wrong of her to generalize about the etiquette of Asian people.

I know a lot of people probably said this already, keep it to yourself rather than posting it on Youtube… or even make it private for godsake. Lesson for everyone.
