UCLA tap water

Just making sure: is the water safe to drink? Or should I bring a water filter or something?

Never hurts to bring a filter

I drank tap water almost everyday and I’m still here…doesn’t taste too good though, unfortunately.

LA water doesn’t sound too good.

It’s disgusting, especially compared to back home, but I got used to the taste after about two weeks. I just bought one of those Brita water filter jugs online and used that most of the year.

Yeah, because LA is a 3rd world country where people die every day for lack of clean water .

PUR water filters got me through the tough times.

The water is very safe. Just refrigerate the water if you don’t like the taste straight from the tap. It will taste better.

When I started using a brita water filter last year, I started getting green deposits after a week or two. Same happened with my suitemate’s filter. I wouldn’t trust the water…

^yea, that might be algae if you don’t switch out your water regularly.

seriously, this is the same water you shower with, brush your teeth with…

just get a brita filter, saves money and the environment compared to bottled water.
