@fullload - I think you are really overthinking the admissions process. I am a constant over thinker about EVERYTHING, but I think u have me beat. The most important things are to keep your gpa high, take your prereqs, and IGETC if needed for your major. You’re going to be an English major if I’m remembering correctly, so you should not have an issue with the essays. You have professional experience related to your major I think, so that’s an added bonus.

At this pace you’ll be burnt out before applications are due, and brain dead by the time decisions come out. I completely get how important this is for you, but don’t overthink the process.

I appreciate your concern, sincerely.
I know I’ve had a lot of questions lately, and I’ll give it a rest soon. But this is my last one for a while and I think it’s an important one. Nothing to do with over thinking, just giving myself the best opportunity to succeed and these programs are on the first page of the planner, so I assume they’re important?

Thanks, I’ll be quiet soon, promise.

I’m going to have to agree with @2016candles on this one. You’re overthinking this.

She’s already stated the most important factors in admission: high GPA, pre-req completion, and IGETC completion. I believe you already stated that you had a pretty high GPA, and I’m going to assume that you will have completed your pre-reqs by spring and IGETC, too, so I believe you’ll be fine. And trust me, when I say “I believe you’ll be fine” to a transfer applicant, they almost always will be and up getting in at the school they want to get in at.
I have prophetic powers, lol.

But in all seriousness, don’t worry too much about the application until the application season begins this August. There are quite a few confusing questions on that application that you’ll want to ask us about, trust me.

Ok, ok. I’ll chill…

For now. ;)

But I’ll be back!
