UCLA transfer, rescinded for dropping courses?

I have been admitted to UCLA as a transfer student for this coming Fall 2010.
When I originally applied for colleges, I listed that I would be taking two summer school courses. However, one of the classes is no longer being offered at my school, and I am unable to take the other class because the time offered for it conflicts with my schedule at home.

None of these classes are required for my major and I have already completed all of my IGETC requirements, I also have more than the required amount of units needed to transfer.

Anyone have any ideas if this will affect my offer of admission?

call the admission office todai and let them know or file the academic change report form through myucla. Just for curiousity, why u want to take summer class which you dont need it?

Nope you're fine, you won't get rescinded.

Summer is not considered when making admission decisions.

I had a similar experiance(two summer classes, one not offered anymore), but one of mine was a prereq and the other "strongly recommended" for my major. I bailed on both of them and my admission to LA was safe. Summer classes don't matter. Don't worry, you'll be fine, just send in the form.

Yep, you're good. I reported on my application that I was going to take a summer class but then realized my vacation back to Korea would ruin that...so I called admissions and they said not to worry about it since they expect those things to happen, which is why they don't take it into consideration during the admission process.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it!

As long you have completed your required classes, you should be good. Always report changes to admissions right away. And explain why theses changes happened.

UCLA admissions usually reply within 3 business days.
