UCONN(OOS) vs Stony Brook(OOS) vs UNC Charlotte for Accounting

S is looking to study Accounting/Finance and need to decide between UCONN(OOS); Stony Brook (OOS) and UNC Charlotte (IS).
Cost differences are as follows:
Scholarship from Stony Brook will put it on par with UNC Charlotte
UCONN with Scholarship/Grant will cost $20k/yr more than SB or UNCC

Please advise.

I know to tell you NOT to go to Stony Brook: for 2 reasons, one of the most depressing social time you will ever have, and secondly stony brook is not known for its business school at all.

I am unfamiliar with UCONN and UNC, so I suggest to do heavy research on these 2 programs, it MATTERS WHERE YOU GO if you are going for business, try to find stats on job placements, and internship placements at both of these schools.

It is perfectly OK to pick up the phone and call each of these places and ask the Career Center or the Accounting department about job placement. They should be happy to let you know about the companies that recruit on campus.

You need to talk with whoever it is who is helping you pay for your education about that 20k/yr difference between UConn and the other two. 80k is not chump change, and for many families it would be an absolute deal-breaker. Run all of your numbers through this calculator, and then talk with your family about what the results mean in your particular case: [FinAid | Calculators | Award Letter Comparison Tool](<a href=“Your Guide for College Financial Aid - Finaid”>Award Letter Requirements - Finaid)
