UConn vs URI (honors) vs Clark University for Chinese/Asian Studies + ROTC

My daughter has been accepted to these 3. She was accepted into the honors program at URI. She plans on majoring in Chinese and/or Asian studies and is also interested in Rotc. She is already a reasonably strong chinese speaker.
We live in MA, and i think they will all cost us about the same, uconn maybe a little more.we are going to be visiting them in the coming month. But we’re having a hard time figuring which is going to givecher the best experience in her area of study, and most opportunities while in school and after. Anyone with experience when these at the programs?

Obviously Clark is the outlier from a size POV. likely to get better attention but on the flip side, Asian Studies may be small programs at the other schools.

I’d visit as you are and make appointments with each department and ask questions.

What can you do now ? Look at each school’s curriculum. For Clark, for example, I see a lot of electives focused on China but not that many whereas other areas are covered. Would the curriculum be too narrow? Do they offer the classes regularly ?

I’d do the same for each, make an appointment with the department at each and get these type of questions answered. You might also ask to speak to a student in the major at each school.

Good luck.

For each school, if she wants ROTC, is the ROTC of the desired service branch on campus, or hosted at a different campus? If the latter, how is the commute there?
