Hello, I am a current second-year UCR student looking to transfer to UCLA, being that it would be closer to home and allow me to study in actuarial science, a major UCR does not offer. Anyway, I have recently joined the honors program at UCR, but I don’t really enjoy it. I was curious if being in honors would help when transferring to UCLA. I.e., would it look good on my transfer application? If they don’t really look at it, then I’ll just drop the UCR honors program and focus on my other classes. Of course, if it would help and make be a better candidate, then I’ll just deal with it and continue with the program. Thanks in advance for any advice.
